Group A strept,staphylococcus
HP – superficial,intraepidermal,unilocular vesicopustule
Corneal layers of epidermis – disrupted
S.pyogenes – access to subcorneal keratinocyte
M protein – binding to keratinocyte
CF – small vesicles ,narrow inflammatory halos
Pustulate & readily rupture
Purulent discharge dries – thick golden yellow stucks on crusts
Pruritus – superficial – heals without scarring 
Gram stain – GPC
Culture – S.aureus ,group A streptococci
ASO scant
Anti DNAse B elevated
Group A streptococci – M serotype (emm) genes
